Brenner Co-authors "Atlas of EEG in Critical Care"

Richard P. Brenner, MD, Clinical Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry, has co-authored the “Atlas of EEG in Critical Care” with Lawrence J. Hirsch, MD (Columbia University). The atlas includes sections on the basics of EEG interpretation and non-convulsive seizures, status epilepticus, periodic EEG patterns, and controversial patterns on the ictal-interictal continuum in a variety of clinical settings.  EEG findings are highlighted and labeled within the tracings themselves. The atlas, published by Wiley-Blackwell, is written for all health care professionals involved in EEG monitoring in intensive care units, including practitioners, fellows and residents in critical care medicine, neurology, epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology.
